For Vermont Experiences & Organizations

Put your Vermont experience in thousands of mailboxes.

Partners with a physical location get a numbered spot on the Field Guide map; statewide organizations and events without one address appear in the directory instead. Sending your own oversized postcard to thousands of Vermont mailboxes costs well over $1,500 in print and postage alone — Vermont Unplugged pools around 20 Vermont experiences onto one guide people actually keep, so a placement starts at $199.

No payment required to inquire or check availability.

The Standard

It's a field guide, not an ad circular.

Vermont Unplugged is built around places and events that give people something meaningful to do — not businesses that merely want another advertising space. If people visit you to participate, explore, watch, learn, gather, or experience something memorable, you probably fit. We don't accept every ordinary retailer or restaurant automatically.

Designed To Stay Up

An oversized 9 × 12" guide to Vermont with numbered pins. Side A is the map; Side B is the sponsor grid and category directory, cross-referenced by pin number so it reads like a guide, not a coupon mailer.

A QR Bridge To Digital

A prominent QR code sends readers to the live interactive guide on VermontUnplugged.com — current hours, descriptions, and direct booking links that a printed piece can't keep up with.

A Page That Outlives The Mailing

Every placement includes a permanent page on this site. It stays live after the mailing and is structured so search engines can understand the business, location, and experience — we don't promise specific traffic or ranking results.

How It Works

Five minutes of your time.

Pick your placement

Choose a tier and tell us roughly where you are, or your service area. We'll confirm the slot is still open.

50% deposit secures your spot

A half deposit on signing holds your placement. Nothing goes to press without you.

Send us your content

Logo, one high-resolution photo, phone and website, and short answers to a few questions your customers always ask. That's it — we build the page and the card placement from there.

Approve the proof

You see your placement and your listing page before anything is printed or published.

Balance due at press, then it drops

The remaining 50% is due right before the job goes to press. Guides land in thousands of Vermont mailboxes, and your page goes live.

Terms, plainly

  • 50% on signing — secures your placement and your slot.
  • 50% at press — due immediately before printing.
  • You approve the proof before print and before your page publishes.
  • Monthly reports show what was actually measured — page views, website clicks, and phone taps from your listing page.
  • One mailing per placement. Renewals for the next mailing are offered first to current partners.

Distribution Details

Exactly what's known right now.

The first Vermont Unplugged Field Guide is planned as a 10,000-piece edition distributed through selected Vermont mailing routes. Exact routes and mailing dates will be published before deposits are collected. We'd rather tell you what isn't decided yet than guess — every figure below is either confirmed or clearly marked as still to come, and this section will be updated as each one is finalized.

Frequently Asked

Questions partners ask us.

What qualifies as an unplugged experience?

Something people visit to participate, explore, watch, learn, gather, or experience — not just to buy a thing and leave. Vermont Unplugged is built around places and events that give people something meaningful to do, not businesses that merely want another advertising space.

Do indoor businesses qualify?

Yes. "Unplugged" doesn't mean outdoors or off-grid — it means the experience itself is worth someone's attention. Theaters, museums, workshop studios, and game nights all fit.

Do restaurants qualify?

Some do. A destination-quality restaurant that's part of making a day or evening out of it can fit well. An ordinary retailer or a restaurant that's simply a place to grab food generally doesn't — Vermont Unplugged isn't built to be a general business directory.

Where will the guides be mailed?

The exact distribution area is still being finalized. Final routes will be published before deposits are collected.

When will they be mailed?

The mailing window is not yet set. See the Distribution Details section above for the current status of every date.

Is this an advertisement or an editorial listing?

It's a paid placement, presented editorially — organized by category like a guide, not a wall of ads. You provide the facts about your experience; we don't write promotional claims you haven't approved.

What does the business provide?

A logo, one high-resolution photo, your phone and website, and short answers to a few questions your customers actually ask. That's what we need to build your card placement and your page.

Who creates the placement?

We design the print placement and build your digital listing page from the content you send us.

Does the business approve the proof?

Yes. You see your card placement and your listing page before anything is printed or published.

When is payment due?

Half on signing, to secure your placement, and the remaining half right before the job goes to press. No payment is required just to inquire or check availability.

What happens if the first guide does not receive enough participating businesses to print?

This decision has not been finalized yet. We'll publish the policy here before any deposit is collected — ask us directly if you need an answer sooner.

Can an event without a permanent location participate?

Yes. Statewide organizations and one-time or seasonal events without a single address are listed in the directory with an accurate service area instead of a misleading map pin.

Can one organization list multiple locations?

Yes — each location gets its own listing and, where relevant, its own numbered pin.

What does the digital listing include?

A permanent page on this site with your description, photo, category, town, hours or schedule note, and links to your website and booking page, plus inclusion in the live map and directory.

What measurements appear in the engagement report?

Listing-page views, outbound website clicks, booking-link clicks, phone-link taps, and map preview opens. We report what was actually measured — we don't call these bookings, leads, or customers unless they truly are.

Are results or bookings guaranteed?

No. We can describe the intended benefit — visibility across thousands of Vermont mailboxes and a permanent, search-friendly page — but we don't guarantee traffic, calls, or bookings.
