This is a plain description of what this site actually does — not boilerplate legal language pointing at practices that don't exist here.

Preview edition

Vermont Unplugged is currently in preview. The newsletter, business-inquiry, and suggest-an-experience forms are visible so you can see how the site works, but preview mode does not currently accept submissions — nothing entered into those forms is stored, emailed, or kept in any way while preview mode is on.

Weekend Radar newsletter signups

Once this form opens, your email address will be stored so we can send the Weekend Radar and used for nothing else. We don't sell, rent, or share it with anyone else. You'll be able to ask us to remove it at any time by emailing hello@vermontunplugged.com.

Business placement inquiries

Once this form opens, information you submit on the Get Listed page (business details, contact info, and anything you tell us about your experience) will be used only to follow up about a placement. It will not be shared outside of running Vermont Unplugged.

Suggested experiences

Once this form opens, suggestions will be used to research and consider adding an experience to the guide. Submitting a suggestion won't guarantee it gets published — every listing is verified first. If you leave an email address, it will be used only to ask follow-up questions about your suggestion.

Where submissions are stored

Once forms open, submissions will be stored in a private folder on our web host that is not publicly accessible, not inside any code repository, and not indexed by search engines. No raw IP address is intentionally stored alongside a form submission — a one-way, salted hash of the IP is used only to briefly rate-limit spam and abuse, and is cleared out automatically after a short time. Vermont Unplugged does not sell submitted information.

Analytics

No third-party analytics or advertising tracking service is currently active on this site. The map and listing pages call a placeholder function (vuTrack) when something like a marker or listing is opened, but right now that function only prints to the browser's developer console on your own device — it is a hook for a future analytics integration, not something that currently records or transmits anything. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
